This Privacy Policy describes how Hazy Bot ("Hazy", "the Bot", "the Service", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and handles your information when you use our Discord bot or visit our website.

To function, Hazy needs to collect and store certain information provided by Discord or configured by users:

  • Discord Information: User IDs, Usernames/Nicknames, Server IDs, Server Names, Role IDs, Role Names, Channel IDs, Channel Names. This data is necessary to identify users, servers, roles, and channels for commands and configurations.
  • Configuration Data: Settings configured by server administrators for Hazy's features (e.g., moderation settings, welcome messages, log channels, custom command prefixes).
  • Command Usage & Logs: We may log command usage (command name, user ID, server ID, timestamp) for analytics, debugging, and abuse prevention. If logging features are enabled for your server, Hazy may store moderation actions taken (e.g., bans, kicks, mutes, warnings) including the responsible moderator, the target user, the reason (if provided), and the timestamp. Hazy does not permanently store the content of user messages unless explicitly required for a specific, user-configured feature like message logging, which will be clearly indicated during setup.
  • Website Data: Our website does not currently use tracking cookies or extensive analytics. Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be collected for security and operational purposes.
  • Payment Data: We do not currently offer paid features that require payment processing. Should this change, this policy will be updated to reflect how payment data is handled by a third-party processor.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Hazy bot service.
  • Enable bot features and configurations as set by server administrators.
  • Respond to support requests and user inquiries via our official channels.
  • Monitor usage for performance analysis, debugging, and service improvement.
  • Prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and ensure the security of the Service.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information under the following limited circumstances:

  • Log Data (Commands, Moderation Actions): Retained for a limited period, typically 30-90 days, necessary for debugging, analysis, and abuse prevention, after which it may be aggregated or deleted.
  • Discord Information: Stored as needed for bot functionality and configurations. Data associated with a server may be removed upon request or when the bot leaves the server.

6. Your Rights

You can typically manage bot configurations within your Discord server. For requests regarding access, correction, or deletion of data associated with your User ID stored by Hazy, please contact us through our support channels. Please note that some data (like User IDs present in moderation logs) may need to be retained for operational or security reasons.

7. Children's Privacy

Hazy is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on our website or through other communication channels (like our Discord server). Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Privacy Policy.
